Dr. Alex Samuel is a Board certified Physical Therapist who will evaluate and rehabilitate individuals who have conditions or injuries that limit their ability to move and or perform physical activities. This can be improving one's range of motion, increasing his or her strength, as well as decreasing their pain. Dr. Samuel has had internships learning from the former PTs of the Miami Dolphins and clinical rotations with NYU Orthopedics.

He has experience treating individuals with Acute and Chronic musculoskeletal disorders. Whether you have undergone surgery, or dealing with chronic pain, Dr. Alex Samuel can address your goals. He uses a combination of his background in track and field and degree in Kinesiology to look at human movement from a very specific lens to help his patients move better than they could ever imagine.

Once you have completed your Physical Therapy Program and you are no longer burdened by functional limitations, experiencing pain or tightness. You will have the opportunity to work with Dr. Alex Samuel one on one to achieve your fitness goals through the lens of a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Strength & Conditioning coach. A Strength & Conditioning Coach is responsible for establishing and maintaining a strength and conditioning program for all sports, with the three major goals of improving athletic performance, reducing athletic injuries, and teaching lifelong movement skills.

Meet Dr. Alex Samuel

Dr. Alex Samuel was born in Brooklyn, NY and graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Pennsylvania State University in 2015. During his time there, he spent two years competing as a Track and Field Sprinter for the university. After his undergraduate graduation, Dr. Samuel obtained his CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) certification, giving him extensive knowledge in strength training athletes of various sport populations.

In 2020, Dr. Samuel graduated from New York Institute of Technology obtaining his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He has conducted research in gait biomechanics of both short and long distance runners and is now able to create greater connections with patients who suffer from running related injuries and allow them to feel comfortable working with him.

As a physical therapist, Dr. Samuel believes “Exercise is medicine. As each of us age, our bodies unfortunately begin to deteriorate. Exercise is the easiest way to counteract our body’s natural aging process so that we may continue to live our lives to its fullest potential.”

Outside of Physical therapy, Alex enjoys staying active by running in the neighborhood, playing tennis and basketball. When he’s relaxing he enjoys spending time by the beach or trying different restaurants.
